Welcome to planDisney, Tracey!
I’m so happy to hear that you have an upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Are you excited? I am desperately awaiting my next visit. We have a few months until we get there, but the excitement is real. I feel like Princess Tiana singing, “I’m almost there!”.
The good news is, it sounds like it is not too late to add an
extra level of protection to your vacation. As long as you add it before your final payment, you should be good to go. You’ll find that the final payment towards vacation packages is due 30 days before your date of arrival. So as long as you are within that time frame, you are good to go ahead and add that extra level of protection. The sooner you add it, the better!
Once that is taken care of, I recommend setting a reminder to book your
dining reservations or Enchanting Extras at your 60-day mark. As a reminder, Guests with a valid
Disney Resort Hotel Reservation can start making reservations for their entire length of stay (for up to 10 nights) 60 days in advance of their arrival. I recently made mine, and if it wasn’t for my alarm, I would have missed that day!
Something else to consider, as your trip gets closer, is
Lightning Lane. Depending on your list of must-dos or the length of your visit, this might be a great option. Honestly, it’s the easiest way to maximize your time in the theme parks! Keep in mind that as a guest staying in a Disney Resort hotel, you can purchase your Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days in advance of your stay. So add that date to your calendar too.
Tracey, I hope this helps answer your question. Don’t forget to make note of all the other important dates I’ve mentioned. You’ll need them as you continue to plan. And if there’s anything else we can help with, please don’t hesitate
to ask.
Dream Big, Princess,
Shantel
