How do I add insurance on the package I have already put a deposit on ?

    Hiya, Alicia!

Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to hear that you are planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth this fall. I am sure you and your travel party are getting excited as you plan out the final details. Of course, sometimes life hands us a change of plans, and that is why travel insurance is a great option for any adventure.

You can add the travel protection plan anytime before the final payment is made on your trip. The final balance on a Walt Disney World vacation package is due 30 days before arrival, so you would need to add the plan before that date. Adding this coverage to your vacation package is quick and easy. Log in to your My Disney Experience account on the Walt Disney World website to get started. If you have not created an account yet, Hakuna Matata. It only takes a few moments to set up. Once you have created an account, be sure to link all of your upcoming travel plans. You can add the travel protection plan under the My Plans option of the My Disney Experience drop-down menu on the website. Locate your vacation package details on this page and choose the blue Change Reservation link. The option to add the insurance will be located at the bottom of the next screen. Once purchased, the plan is non-refundable even if you cancel your plans.

It is important to note that if you booked your upcoming vacation plans with a travel professional or agency they will need to modify your package to add the insurance option.

I hope that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
