Hi Amy, welcome to planDisney!
When it comes to planning a Walt Disney World Resort park day, I'm much more of a night owl than a rope dropper. I recently stayed up past midnight experiencing Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. There's something incredibly special about experiencing the theme parks after the glow of the nighttime spectaculars has faded.
Disney After Hours events are a great way to beat the heat and the crowds on select nights at select Disney parks. Attendance at these popular events requires a special event ticket that cannot be added to an existing ticket. I know that's not the news you were hoping for, Amy, though you are welcome to purchase a ticket to a Disney After Hours event if you'd like to "plus" an existing park or resort day.
During your June visit, Amy, Disney After Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios is offered Wednesday from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Disney After Hours at EPCOT is offered on Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., and Disney H2O Glow After Hours at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is offered on Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Click the "Purchase Tickets" button to start the purchase process.
A couple of things to keep in mind as you consider adding a Disney After Hours event to your itinerary:
1. Check-in for Disney After Hours begins a couple of hours before the event start time. This makes it a great addition to a resort day, when you can be well-rested and take full advantage of the time in the parks included with your special event ticket.
2. A theme park reservation is not required when accessing a theme park with a Disney After Hours ticket.
3. Disney After Hours admission includes popcorn, ice cream treats, and bottled beverages. There are also character meet and greets, so don't forget your autograph book!
Whenever you choose to visit the theme parks, Amy, rest assured Disney magic is found from park open to park close. Let planDisney know if you need help planning those pixie-dusted hours!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
