How do I add a guest to a current reservation pla?

    Hey there, Marcetta!

Thanks for coming to see us at planDisney, where we appreciate the opportunity to help you plan your Disney stay by sharing our own Disney vacation experiences.

Playing in the magic at Walt Disney World Resort is always a joy, and bringing friends along to join you in the magic is even more fun.

Let me share quick tips for adding a Guest to a theme park reservation and for adding a Guest to a Resort reservation, in hopes that these two scenarios help you with your question.

When you're managing reservations for the Walt Disney World theme parks, you can make reservations and you can cancel reservations. If you've made a theme park reservation and you want to add a Guest, you would simply make a new theme park reservation for that Guest for the same day and the same theme park, so long as there are Disney Park Pass reservations available, and so long as that person has valid theme park admission tickets.

When you go to the Disney Park Pass system, you would unselect your own name from the "Your Party" list and choose the new Guest from the "Anyone Else Going?" list. If you don't see the Guest you're making the reservation for, you can use the "Add a Guest" feature to add the person to your Family & Friends list.

Another approach you could take would be to modify an existing reservation by cancelling the reservation and making a new reservation that includes both you and the new Guest, so long as there is availability. You would cancel the reservation through the My Plans feature in My Disney Experience. In your My Plans area in My Disney Experience, you can look at your Daily Itinerary to find the reservation, and click on the "View Details" button where you'll see a link for "Cancel This Reservation." Then you could go back to the Disney Park Pass system to make the new reservation.

If you're finding you'd like some additional assistance with your My Disney Experience account, you can give a call to the Walt Disney World Internet Help Desk at (407) 939-4357, or contact them through the online chat service

If you are looking to add a Guest to a Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation, you might be able to make a change to the reservation directly through your My Disney Experience account. You would go to the My Plans feature and find the reservation, and if you're able to modify the reservation online, you'll see an option for that. If you don't seen an option to modify the reservation, you would need to contact the Walt Disney World Resort directly by calling (407) 934-7639.

Marcetta, I hope these tips help you with making your reservations for Walt Disney World Resort. Here's wishing you a wonderful stay in the magic!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
