Is there a way to add Gift Cards to my magic band? I have 3 separate gift cards and don't want to carry them around.

    Hi Leanne!

I'm happy to hear that you will be using MagicBands during your trip! They add so much convenience to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation and it's so nice to be able to access your theme park tickets, FastPass+ reservations and Memory Maker account with just the touch of your MagicBand.

Guests who are staying at a Disney Resort hotel can also use their MagicBands to make purchases throughout Walt Disney World Resort, which are charged to their hotel room account. Unfortunately, there is no way to directly link a Disney Gift Card to your MagicBand. However, if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can use your Disney Gift Cards to pay your hotel room account bill. So you can attach a credit card to your room account, make purchases to your room account using your MagicBand and then pay your room account using your Disney Gift Cards by visiting the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel. Keep in mind that your balance is generally charged to your credit card overnight one or two days before checkout, so I recommend that you pay down your balance with your gift cards throughout your trip.

If you aren't staying at a Disney Resort hotel, then you will have to bring your Disney Gift Cards with you to use them for purchases. I recommend that you register your cards, which will allow you to manage all of your gift cards. You can even transfer the balance of your gift cards, which will allow you to consolidate your gift cards into one gift card and minimize what you need to bring with you to the theme parks.

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
