    Can I add gift cards to the My Disney Experience App?

    Howdy, Frannie!
    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! 

    Currently, Disney gift cards can not be added to your My Disney Experience account. A debit or credit card of your choice must be linked to your account in order to make purchases with your MagicBand if you are staying at a Disney resort. 

    Frannie, I prefer having Disney gift cards with me on our Disney vacations too. Sometimes, I will use the Disney gift card instead of my MagicBand to make purchases. This ensures that I stay on budget during our visit. Other times, I use my MagicBand for purchases and at the end of each day, I stop by the front desk of my resort and ask the Cast Member to print off all of the purchases I made for the day. I then tell the Cast Member how much I would like to pay on my daily balance. Most times I use a Disney gift card and other times I use a different debit or credit card than what's linked on my account. I have the option to pay the entire balance or a portion. Any amount that remains on the balance will be charged to credit or debit card linked to My Disney Experience account. 

    Hopefully in the future, there will be an option to link Disney gift cards.
