    Can you add a gift card (American Express gift card) to your magic bands?

    Hi Melissa,

    Your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is right around the corner! I know you must be excited.

    I love using my MagicBand to make purchases all over Walt Disney World Resort. I never realized how convenient it would be until I started using one. Now there's no turning back! You won't be able to link a gift card to your MagicBand, but that doesn't mean you can't use it.

    MagicBands work by linking to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room reservation, so when you make a purchase using your MagicBand, you are essentially "charging it to your room." You will leave a credit card on file at your Disney Resort hotel and it will be charged at the end of your stay.

    However, you do have the option to pay your balance at the Front Desk using a gift card. I recommend stopping by the Front Desk at the end of each day to pay your balance if you wish to use another form of payment than the credit card they have on file.
