How can I add the genie+lightening service to my tickets? And is it true that it can only be used 2 or 3 times per day?

Hiya, Sarju! I'm so glad you flew your magic carpet past Agrabah and found your way here to planDisney!

It sounds like you're looking to add some phenomenal cosmic powers to your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort! The Disney Genie+ service and Individual Lightning Lane entrances allow you to skip the standby line for select attractions and experiences. I'd love to give you a few next steps you can take to add these features to your theme park tickets. Your wish is my command!

Sarju, you may have the option to add the Disney Genie+ service to your tickets prior to your arrival, especially if you're looking to add this feature to all days of your theme park tickets. To do this, log into your My Disney Experience app and tap the icon that looks like three stacked lines in the bottom right corner. Tap Tickets and Passes, then select the first ticket you'd like to upgrade. Click Upgrade Ticket and follow the prompts to add Disney Genie+ service to that ticket!

You can also add Disney Genie+ service to your tickets on each day of your trip, day by day. Since you can begin making your Disney Genie+ selections starting at 7:00 AM, I'd recommend adding this feature earlier in the morning so you have plenty of time to make your first selection. To add the Disney Genie+ service each day of your trip, log into your app and tap the icon that looks like three stacked lines in the bottom right corner. Tap My Genie Day, then scroll down a bit and tap the "Get Disney Genie+ for Today" link in the purple banner. Ta-da!

While it states on the website that Guests can, on average, choose two to three attractions per day with Disney Genie+, your personal experiences may vary. To get the most out of your Disney Genie+ experience, here are some of my tips:
    • Make your first selection early in the day! In fact, I like to have a secondary clock to count down right to 7:00 AM so I'm ready to make my first selection right away.
    • As soon as you tap into your first attraction, go ahead and make your next Disney Genie+ selection! You can even make your next selection while you're still waiting in line.
    • Set a timer on your phone to remind you when you're ready to make your next selection.
    • Don't forget: if your first selection is more than two hours after park opening for the day, you can make your next Disney Genie+ selection two hours after the park opens, even if you haven't used your first selection yet! Again, set a reminder on your phone so you know when you're able to make your next selection.
    • You can also purchase Individual Lightning Lane entrances in addition to the Disney Genie+ service! This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun while at Walt Disney World Resort.
I hope I was able to help you with Disney Genie+ today, Sarju! If you have any other questions, please visit us again.

You've never had a friend like me!
