Welcome to planDisney and it would be my pleasure to help you out today! How very generous of you to have purchased tickets for your son and his cousin. I'm saddened to hear that you won't be joining them at the Happiest Place on Earth but I'm sure that they'll have such a fantastic time here!
If you did not purchase
Genie+ at the time of ticket purchase, the next opportunity to purchase this optional add-on would be after scanning your ticket and entering the Parks. That means that your son will need to download the
Disneyland Mobile App on his device (which I would recommend doing anyway for added convenience while visiting the Parks). He may also link his cousin's ticket to his account to make for one easy transaction. As soon as they enter the Parks, have them navigate to the Home Screen for the App and look for the banner offering a Genie+ purchase for the day. Quantities are limited and it is possible to sell out. Also, please note that they will need to purchase Genie+ every morning that they would like this service. I would also recommend that your son register a credit card in the Disneyland Mobile App so that it will automatically be used for his Genie+ purchase and any
mobile orders he might make.
As far as transferring tickets, you may share a ticket with someone else by linking the ticket to their account. This may be done within the Disneyland Mobile App under the "☰" Features Menu. Scroll down and look for "Link to Account." As long as that ticket has not yet been used and there are no limiting residency requirements (e.g.
California Resident Ticket Offer) which would exclude the new ticket holder, the ticket may be transferred and used (along with a valid
Park reservation) for Park entrance.
