How to add Genie Plus when park reservation is no longer required? Tickets are in app but keeps saying to link a reservation/nothing is linked

Hi, Beth, and welcome to planDisney! How romantic and fun that you'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort on Valentine's Day. Magic will be in the air! Adding Disney Genie+ Service to your day will make experiencing your favorite attractions downright dreamy, so let's look at how that will work.

It sounds like your theme park tickets are in your My Disney Experience account, so that's great. If you chose a start date when purchasing those tickets, they are considered date-based admission and won't require theme park reservations. So far, so good!

According to your listed arrival date, I see you aren't currently at the parks yet. You will only be able to purchase Disney Genie+ Service on the day you plan to use it, so that's probably why you see an error message. If you're on site but still need help, please call the My Disney Experience line.

On the day you'd like to purchase the service, I suggest you allow time before 7:00 AM to make that purchase in your mobile app. You'll do this by tapping the "Tip Board" tile and choosing "Purchase for Today" next to the Genie+ icon. You can purchase for one park or multiple parks if you have the Park Hopper Option on your tickets. Once you've purchased the service, you can choose your first attraction for Lightning Lane entry at 7:00 AM.

My number one tip is to review the details about Disney Genie+ Service and Lightning Lane entrances. You'll find videos to watch and helpful instructions to get the most out of your day. Remember that once you've used the service a couple of times, you'll be shooting bullseyes like Cupid!

I enjoy using Disney Genie+ Service at all four theme parks, but I feel it's especially beneficial at Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios. My bonus tip is to book popular attractions like Slinky Dog Dash first since they tend to fill up later in the day.

Beth, I hope your upcoming visit is filled with flowers and heart-shaped snacks! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
