Disney Genie+ and you've asked it at a great time because there are some upcoming changes to the system that I want to make sure you're aware of!
All theme park tickets and their add-ons are non-refundable. So if you purchase Disney Genie+ in advance, then it will be added to the entire duration of your ticket and unfortunately, you won't be able to cancel that upgrade.
As of tomorrow, June 8, advanced sales of Disney Genie+ will no longer be an option and all Guests will purchase Disney Genie+ one day at a time through the
My Disney Experience mobile app on the day of their theme park visit. This is how my family has purchased Disney Genie+ on our past Walt Disney World Resort vacations and I like how it allows quite a bit more flexibility in how and when we add this upgrade to our tickets. We can choose to enjoy Disney Genie+ on days when we plan to enjoy more popular attractions or wish to avoid queues and we can skip it on other days.
Cheryl, if you are purchasing Disney Genie+ on the day of your theme park visit, you can purchase it as early as midnight on the day of your visit. So I recommend that you purchase it right before you head to bed or the first thing in the morning so you are ready to go to book your first
Lightning Lane reservation as soon as possible!
