Disney Genie and Genie+ is the best way to get “one jump ahead” on having a magical May trip to Walt Disney World Resort.
Now let us talk about how we can open up “a whole new world” and add-on Genie+ to already purchased Theme Park tickets. Before I walk you through the steps, allow me to give you a friendly reminder that by purchasing Genie+ in advance, it must be purchased for the entirety of the trip. Some Guests find that they only want Genie+ for a specific Theme Park such as Disney’s Hollywood Studios and would prefer not to have Genie+ for every Theme Park. If you fall into this category, you should wait to purchase Genie+ starting midnight the day of your first Disney Park Pass Reservation. Also, note that if you have any of the Annual Passes, you will only have the option to add-on Genie+ per day.
To Add Genie+ for your entire trip (using the mobile app):1. Doublecheck that your already purchased Theme Park Tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account and that your entire party (everyone who will need Genie+ access) is on your Family and Friends list.
2. Open up the
My Disney Experience mobile app on your mobile device and click the menu (shown as the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner).
3. Select “Tickets and Passes” and scroll until your find the Theme Park tickets you would like to add Genie+ to.
4. Select “Change Ticket” and follow the on-screen prompts to purchase Genie+
See, adding Genie+ is just as easy as Genie granting wishes.
To Add Genie+ using an online browser:
1. Log onto your
My Disney Experience account using your preferred web browser.
2. Doublecheck that your already purchased Theme Park Tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account and that your entire party (everyone who will need Genie+ access) is on your Family and Friends list.
3. Select “My Plans”
4. Click on “Tickets and Memory Maker”
5. Next, select “Change Ticket.”
6. A new page will open, which will ask you to select which ticket you would like to change. Under “Choose Which Tickets to Change,” select every ticket you want to have Genie+ access.
7. Add on on Genie+
