If you're familiar with the Walt Disney World Resort and My Disney Experience, you'll find that the
Disneyland mobile app currently works a little differently. Since it might be new to you, do take the time to download and poke around in the app. Familiarizing yourself with its features will make for a smoother park day.
Unfortunately, you'll find that there's no Friends and Family feature for planning with the group. I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for today! But as someone who frequents both resorts, I can assure you that the adjustment is an easy one. Just designate one planner to book
dining and experience reservations and keep track of plans in their app. I'm the planner in my family! I make all the
Lightning Lane Entrance arrangements too. Having one person in charge simplifies the park day for our family whether we're traveling as a group of four or with our extended family.
While both resorts offer the magic and nostalgia we expect from a Disney Vacation, the differences are what keep us visiting both coasts. If you've never experienced Disneyland Resort, prioritize those experiences that are unique to Anaheim, including iconic Attractions and Entertainment you won't find in Florida. But don't forget to check out those familiar favorites like "it's a small world" in Fantasyland and Pirates of the Caribbean in New Orleans Square: You'll find these Disneyland Park Attractions to be noticeably different from the counterparts in the Magic Kingdom. You don't want to miss out on the new fun elements!
