Aloha and welcome to planDisney, Kimberly. Mahalo for sharing your question with us. Oh boy! It won't be long until you're on your way to visit the Disneyland Resort. I love that you're getting all of your plans together and I'm here to help.
Oh, I'm so excited that you have reservations to dine at the enchanting
Blue Bayou Restaurant. I just love the atmosphere and ambiance when dining here. And
Fantasmic! is my favorite nighttime spectacular so I can definitely understand your desire to upgrade to the dining package. You just can't beat the reserved viewing area.
I chatted with a Cast Member who shared that upon arrival for your reservation, you can ask the Cast Member who checks you in if there's availability to upgrade to the
Fantasmic! Dining Package. Availability is based on reservations so there's no guarantee that they will be able to accommodate your request. I say it doesn't hurt to ask and hey, you were able to score a dining reservation to this extremely popular spot, so luck must be on your side. If you're not able to upgrade to the package, I suggest arriving early to the show for a good viewing spot. I also find that the crowd for the second, later show (all showtimes are subject to change and/or cancelation) is typically a bit lighter.
There will be so much to explore during your visit with the
Disney100 Celebration happening. Since we're on the topic of nighttime spectaculars, I recommend checking out
Wondrous Journeys. My favorite part is when Baymax makes an appearance and soars over Sleeping Beauty Castle. All the details of the festivities can be found in the
Disneyland app on the home screen.
I hope everything works out in your favor, Kimberly. I'll be thinking happy thoughts and sending all the pixie dust your way. If you have other questions as you continue to plan your magical visit, please come back to visit us. Until then, happy planning!
Have a magical day,
Michelle
