Bright suns, James,
Using
Disney Gift Cards is my preferred way to
shop,
dine, and enjoy
experiences while visiting the Disneyland Resort. At this time, only credit and debit cards can be linked to your account in the
Disneyland mobile app. That stored card can be used for
mobile food and beverage orders and for
Merchandise Mobile Checkout. Although a Disney Gift Card can’t be linked to your account, it is still possible to use gift cards for purchases from the mobile app. To make it easier, I keep my current gift card number stored in a note on my phone and copy it to the Disneyland app during checkout. The amount for each transaction will be deducted from the gift card and the remainder can be used for the next transaction.
If you have a
Disney Gift Card eGift, you can copy the gift card number to the app for purchases. And you can display the gift card number from your phone, including from your phone’s mobile wallet, if you prefer, for Cast Members to scan at many locations that also accept physical gift cards. That includes locations such as the
Milk Stand in
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and
churro carts throughout both theme parks.
Tony’s Tip: If you prefer a physical card, you may be interested in seeking out the unique
Batuuan Spira. This special coin is not only a rare artifact from the planet
Batuu. It is also usable as a Disney Gift Card, both in a galaxy far, far away, and in other locations that accept Disney Gift Cards in the Disneyland Resort and
throughout North America.
My family and I have used Disney Gift Cards for all kinds of purchases at the Disneyland Resort. From
tours to
lightsabers to
balloons, these special cards have helped us to enjoy a great deal of magic at The Happiest Place on Earth!
As you seek adventure at the Disneyland Resort, may the Force be with you, James!
