Welcome back to planDisney, Susan. Thanks again for taking the time to stop by with another great question for us. I see you’re looking to add a
Disney Gift Card as a form of payment on your MyDisney account.
I love the flexibility of Disney Gift Cards and I’m delighted to see you have “magic money” (as my children used to say when they were younger when they received Disney Gift Cards from grandparents) to spend during your upcoming visit! Disney Gift Cards can be used throughout
Disneyland Resort towards merchandise, as well as for food and beverages at participating Disney owned-and-operated locations. When you’re using the
Disneyland App to place mobile orders for food and beverages, you can input your Disney Gift Card information and use it as a form of payment. Unlike a credit or debit card, unfortunately you cannot save the gift card information as a form of payment, and you’ll need to input the gift card numbers each time you’re prompted in the App and choose “Use a Different Payment Method” then “Add a Card” under Disney Gift Card.
Alternatively, I have found it helpful to directly add the Disney Gift Card to my phone's digital wallet and using that as a quick form of tap payment when purchasing food and beverages at dining kiosks or merchandise at retail locations.
I hope this information is helpful for you, Susan. Please don’t hesitate to visit us on
planDisney again if you have more questions for us.
Have a magical day,
Kiki
