Can I add a Disney gift card to my app? If I add a Disney gift card to my Disney app, what exactly can (and can't) I use it for? I'm doing land and sea, so please also include Disney cruise info. Can I put on more than 1 card at a time?

    Ahoy and hello, Tara!

I'm SO excited to hEAR you're planning for my favorite kind of Disney vacation - a Land and Sea adventure! From Cinderella Castle to sandcastles, you'll be making magical memories from start to finish.

If you're like me, I'm always planning for my next Disney vacation. Because of this, I often receive Disney Gift Cards on birthdays, Christmas, or other occasions. I'm always happy to stow them away for my next vacation! Disney Gift Cards make saving and preparing for a Disney getaway a bit easier.

For the "land" portion of your trip, if you'll be a Guest of a Disney Resort hotel, you can use a MagicBand to make purchases that will be charged to your hotel account. While you'll need to have a credit card on file for this service, you can visit the Front Desk at any time during your stay to have your Gift Card funds applied to pay down your account balance. Disney Gift Cards are also widely accepted across all four theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and at Disney Springs.

For the "sea" portion of your trip, you'll absolutely be able to use your Disney Gift Cards on the ship. At check-in, you'll be issued a Key to the World Card, which you'll use for all purchases made onboard. Throughout your sailing, your charges (for spa treatments, Port Adventures, alcoholic beverages, souvenirs, etc.) will accrue in your onboard stateroom account. You can apply Disney Gift Cards to your stateroom account to offset the balance. You can apply them before you sail by calling Disney Cruise Line at 1-800-951-3532 (make sure to have your reservation number and your gift cards handy), or by contacting your travel agent. You can also stop by Guest Services once you're onboard to have them applied to your account. If you have multiple Gift Cards, I encourage you to visit DisneyGiftCard.com to combine the balances onto one card. You can combine cards up to $1000 per card.

I hope this helps with your planning and budgeting for your upcoming Disney vacation. Please come back and visit us here at planDisney if you have more questions before your Land and Sea adventure.
