In my experience, you can typically apply
Disney Gift Cards toward your stateroom folio (your onboard account) by purchasing Onboard Credit. To do this, log in to your account on the
Disney Cruise Line website, head over to "Already Booked," and scroll down to "
Onboard Gifts." There, you should see an option for "Onboard Credit," which you can purchase using your Disney Gift Card. The credit will then be applied to your onboard expenses, including specialty dining, beverages, Port Adventures, and other activities.
If anything doesn’t work as expected,
Guest Services onboard can apply your Disney Gift Card once you’re on the ship. You can also call
Disney Cruise Line ahead of time if you prefer to take care of it before sailing.
One more tip: I highly recommend putting down a deposit for a
Placeholder cruise while you’re onboard. This special offer is only available during your sailing and allows you to book a future eligible Disney Cruise within two years at a discounted rate. It’s a great way to lock in savings now while giving yourself plenty of time to plan your next adventure!
