How do I add a Disney gift card to my account if I already have my Disney VISA card on it. I don’t want to delete my VISA, I just want to add a gift card.

    Welcome BACK, Sharon!

It's oh so great to see your name back hEAR at planDisney! This can only mean one thing, you're headed back HOME soon!

This is a great question. At the current time, Disney Gift Cards cannot be stored in either your My Disneyland Account or your Disneyland Mobile App the way that your credit card can. (Or, if you're thinking about other popular apps you might use daily, Disney Gift Cards cannot be stored the way a Target or Starbucks gift card can in their apps.) To use a Disney Gift Card electronically at Disneyland Resort (or Walt Disney World Resort!) you have a few options:

~You can enter the information each time you'd like to place a Mobile Food and Beverage Order or utilize Merchandise Mobile Checkout. (The Pro Tip or hashtag Disney Hack with this is to open up a new note in your phone, enter your gift card information in the note, and then copy and paste from the note to the app every time you'd like to make a transaction. Don't forget to include the access code for each gift card. And, if you're really feeling super organized, you can list how much was initially on each Disney Gift Card and then update the card's balance in note whenever you use it.)

~You can save the Disney Gift Card to your digital wallet on your phone or smartwatch. This might not be able to be entered in either of the mobile checkout options, but it's handy for all of those times you'll pay for something in-person.

~Lastly, if you have an e-Disney Gift Card, you can take a screenshot of the scanner part and save it to your phone or smartwatch as a picture that can be scanned by a Cast Member. I love this option because I don't have to worry "what if" I can't find good wifi when trying to check out, and I don't have to frantically dig through my email inbox all day.

I hope that these helped to better plan your upcoming Disney days, Sharon! Be sure to follow the official planDisney Instagram account where we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
