Can I add my Disney Egift card as a form of payment on the Disneyland App to pay for Maxpass and other items?

    Hiya, Holly!

It's nice to hEAR from a fellow Utahn. I'm so excited for you to try out the Disneyland app. It's the perfect travel companion for your Disneyland Resort Vacation. At this time, the only form of payment accepted from within the Disneyland app is a credit card. So in-app purchases of Disney MaxPass and mobile food orders currently may not be made with Disney Gift Cards or eGift Cards. The app is constantly being developed and improved. So be sure to download the latest version and watch for any changes that may come in.

Your handy Disney Gift Card eGift is redeemable anywhere regular Disney Gift Cards may be used, including most dining and shopping locations at the Disneyland Resort. That means that you may even use it at the Main Entrance ticket booths. So if you’d like, you may use your eGift Card to purchase MaxPass at the ticket booth. And, of course, you can still use your eGift Card for food and beverage purchases with regular cashiers at most quick service dining locations throughout the parks. For convenience at some locations, such as table service dining locations, I’ve found it simpler to use the Disney Gift Card website to transfer my eGift Card balance to a physical gift card.

While I’d love to be able to use the Disneyland app to make payments with Disney Gift Cards too, I still love the convenience of being able to make a mobile order from the app. While walking from one place to another or while waiting in an attraction line, our family has used this feature to help us save time in the parks.

To help enhance your Disneyland Resort digital experience more, be sure to download the free Play Disney Parks mobile app. Play Disney Parks includes trivia, fun games, the Star Wars: Datapad, and more. My family loves to pass time in attraction lines with activities in the app. And the Datapad makes a visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge even more amazing, as you can earn achievements and help either the Resistance or the First Order take control over the Black Spire Outpost.

    Have a magical time, Holly!
