Melissa, the
Disney Dining Plan has not yet returned to us since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer. The good news is that we just found out last week that the Disney Dining Plan will indeed return but the bad news is we don't have a date just yet. The Disney Dining Plan is an absolute fan favorite and I know a lot of people were very happy to know that it will come back. I don't, however, think the Disney Dining Plan will be back in time for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation this year. Disney likes to give plenty of notice for these types of things and I think it is cutting it pretty close to your travel date. If the Disney Dining Plan is available for your travel dates and looks similar to when what it did before, you would more than likely have up to 48 hours prior to your travel date to add it to your vacation. Disney Parks Blog for up-to-date information about when the Disney Dining Plan will come back.
Until then, Melissa, I actually suggest picking up some
Disney Gift Cards between now and your vacation to use on food and drinks at Walt Disney World. This is similar to the Disney Dining Plan in the sense that the money is already pulled from your bank account and has to be used for something at Walt Disney World. Knowing things are prepaid makes it a little bit easier to enjoy all of those splurgy meals while on vacation.
