how do i add a dining plan

Hey there, Sylvia! Welcome to planDisney!

I’m a big fan of the Walt Disney World dining plans, so I’m always happy to answer questions about them. As my kiddos have grown and developed a taste for things other than chicken tenders and corn dog nuggets (shout-out to Casey’s Corner), it’s nice to have a set cost to budget for when planning our next Disney vacation.

If you have a Walt Disney World vacation package (that’s a hotel room reservation plus theme park tickets), then you should be able to add a dining plan to your reservation through your My Disney Experience account. Go to “My Plans” and then find the reservation you’d like to add a dining plan to. Then just click “Change Reservation” and follow the prompts to add a dining plan. If you have any issues, you can call the Tickets and Hotel Reservations line and speak to a friendly Cast Member. They’ll be more than happy to help you update your reservation.

Remember, Walt Disney World guests can make dining reservations 60 days before their arrival, and guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels can do so for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days). Based on the dates you’ve provided, your booking window started on August 27th, so you’re free to start making those reservations! Good luck!

I hope you find this info useful, Sylvia. Don’t hesitate to come back if you have more vacation planning questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
