Hiya, Heather!
This is a terrific question. By linking a credit or debit card with your Disney account, you’ll unlock easy access to
mobile food and beverage orders as well as
other conveniences such as securing
dining reservations.
To link a credit or debit card to your Disney account, visit your
account profile on the Disneyland Resort website. From there, visit the
payment method section of your profile. You may store up to six different payment methods in your account. Note that debit cards must have access to the payment network of a major payment network processor, such as Visa or Mastercard, in order to be added to your account.
Tickets purchased using your Disneyland account will be linked to your account. However, you may share the ticket ID with others to link to their account as well. They will be able to use the linked tickets for theme park admission, for booking
Lightning Lane return times with the
Disney Genie+ service, and for joining the
virtual queue for the
World of Color show in
Disney California Adventure Park. Note that the ticket purchase confirmation number may not be used to link a ticket with another account. The
Disney eTicket ID is the number you will use to link to another account. One place to find this ID is on the Tickets and Passes screen of the
Disneyland mobile app.
Tony’s Tip: I personally prefer to use
Disney Gift Cards for virtually all of my purchases during visits to the Disneyland Resort. However, Disney does not directly operate a mobile wallet service. So it is not currently possible to store an existing Disney Gift Card with your Disney account. When I wish to use a Disney Gift Card to pay for a mobile food and beverage order or a
Mobile Checkout at participating shops, I simply copy my Disney Gift Card number stored in a note on my mobile phone and paste it into the “Disney Gift Card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card” section of the Order Summary when paying for my purchase.
I hope you and your sister have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Heather!
