Is there a way to add a day to an existing ticket reservation without paying for a new one-day reservation?

    Hi Leslie!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this great Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR!

You asked a really great Disneyland Resort Theme Park Ticket question. Sadly I don't have the proper 'magic mirror' to see which kind of tickets you currently hold, so the answer right now is 'possibly' as some tickets are unable to be amended. These are usually promotional tickets (like what's offered to U.S. Military members or special limited-time offers), complimentary passes that may have been won in a contest sponsored by Disney, and a few other 'one-off' situations. However, 5-Day tickets are also unable to be extended for a bonus day as five (5) is the highest number of consecutive days that are sold. In all of these cases yes, a new and completely separate 1-day ticket would need to be purchased.

If you currently have tickets that do not fall into any of the above, then yes, there are ways to add an additional Disney day. However, thanks to the additional re-opening protocols that are still in place, it's a bit tricky at the moment. You could wait until your arrival at Disneyland Resort and make the upgrade in-person with the Concierge at your Disneyland Resort Hotel or at the ticket booths in The Esplanade, which is directly between the entrances of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Of course, by waiting until arrival you would be risking the possibility of not getting a Park Pass Reservation to your desired park for that added day. Here's the Park Pass Availability Calendar to help weigh that decision. If you booked a Vacation Package directly through Disney you can contact the Vacation Package team at (714) 520-5060. Or you can try to reach out to the Ticketing cast members in advance. Their phone number is (714) 781-4636, but you might have some luck using the chat or email feature found on this 'Help with Tickets' link (look above the blue rectangle on the right side of the page) or by using the chat feature in the Disneyland Mobile App. To find the app chat, click on the gray three-line icon in the bottom right corner of the app, and from this new page click the 'chat with us' box.

I hope that this helped to add a bit more magic to your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation, Leslie!
