We would like to add our children to our DVC ownership. Is this possible? If so, is there a maximum number of names that can be on the ownership?

Hello Kara, welcome back to planDisney!

Thank you for asking a great question about your Disney Vacation Club Membership! I hope you’ve been enjoying your Membership at various Disney Destinations, as well as taking advantage of Membership Extras like dining and shopping discounts, Member-exclusive events and lounges, and special pricing on event tickets.

There are two options for adding someone to your Disney Vacation Club Membership - as an Associate Member or an Additional Purchaser.  A Membership can have up to five Additional Purchasers in addition to the original Purchaser, while there is no limit to the number of Associate Members you can add. An Associate Member must be 18 years of age or older and can make reservations using Vacation Points. They can also bank Vacation Points. An Associate Member won't receive a Membership Card and cannot take advantage of Membership Extras. For this addition, no changes need to be made to the deed. You can add an Associate Member to your Disney Vacation Club Membership on the Disney Vacation Club website. To do this, log in to the DVC website and click on the "My DVC" tab. From here, select "My Profile" followed by "Member Information".

If you would to add your children as an Additional Purchaser, they will be able to enjoy the same Disney Vacation Club benefits as you. This is a little trickier since you'll need to create a new deed that will include your children as Additional Purchasers. To do this, you'll need to use a title company or attorney to write up the new deed and pay any filing fees they charge (to note - there is no charge from DVC to modify). After the new deed has been recorded, please email a copy of the documentation to Member Administration at members@disneyvacationclub.com. This will allow them to review the details and update your account accordingly.

Kara, I hope this information is helpful! I am sure your children are excited to enjoy a Disney Vacation Club Membership with you. My family has created so many core memories over the years with our Membership and I can't wait to make even more! Please visit us again at planDisney if you have any other DVC or vacation planning questions, we are happy to assist!

    Welcome Home,
