Hello Chris,
As the current UK Panelist here at planDisney, it's my complete delight to welcome you! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with such a great question for us to assist you with.
It's truly great to see you have a practically perfect in every way jolly Disney holiday already booked for this coming August. Like you, I'm very keen to return to the most magical place on earth as soon as possible! In fact, I have my fingers, arms, legs, toes, and even eyes crossed that all travel restrictions to the U.S.A will finally be lifted in the very near future so we Brits can be like Peter Pan and Wendy and start singing '
We can fly, we can fly, we can fly!"
It sure sounds like you've already been doing some pixie-dusted planning by organising your whole party of 8 Guests via your
My Disney Experience account. Adding a more personalised Disney icon is all part of the magical fun and when my children were younger they loved choosing their own icons and also selecting a funny one for their dad. I must tell you that their favourite choice for him was always WALL*E, even though he always thought of himself as more of a Mr Incredible!
It should be fairly easy to update an icon on a profile that you manage on My Disney Experience -
- On a desktop computer,
sign in to your
My Disney Experience account
- Using the
drop-down menu, select
My Family & Friends - this should open up a new window allowing you to view your
connected Family & Friends List
- Scroll down and select the profile you wish to amend by clicking
Update (Bearing in mind that you are only permitted to update profiles that you manage when planning with
Family & Friends on My Disney Experience)
- This now opens up a profile window where on the left-hand side you will see
Change Character (written under a blue circle containing Mickey's head). Click
Change Character and choose your new icon, and hit
Done to update.
Now with just a little faith, trust, and pixie dust you should have been able to update or amend your Disney icon choices on My Disney Experience!
However, if you should encounter any technical glitches, it's always possible to speak with a knowledgeable Cast Member by dialling the UK
freephone number for
Technical & Website Support contained within this handy
Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory. Chris, I hope I've been able to assist you today! If you should have any further enquiries about your upcoming
Summer holiday to the magic and wonder of Walt Disney World Resort, then please don't hesitate to pop back to
planDisney to ask me another question.
Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
