How do I add a cake to my reservation

    Hi Kristina,

Welcome to planDisney! I see your magical vacation is just around the riverbend, so let’s dive right into your question and get you the cake of your dreams for whatever you may be celebrating, or simply because a sweet treat sounds just right.

If you're hoping to add a specialty cake to a dining reservation, you’ve got a couple of great options. The easiest way is to request one during your advance dining reservation at participating locations. You’ll find a list of these restaurants on the official Specialty Cake page on the Walt Disney World website. There, you'll see which restaurants offer Mickey Mouse celebration cakes and how to request one either in advance or upon arrival. These cakes typically come in chocolate or white chocolate flavors and serve 4 to 6 Guests, which is perfect for sharing (or not, I won’t tell!).

Now, if your restaurant isn’t on that list or the timing doesn’t quite work out, no worries at all. There are plenty of other ways to treat yourself while you're celebrating. Over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop serves up legendary milkshakes and their famous Kitchen Sink (an over-the-top sundae that’s made for a celebration). If you’re heading to Disney Springs, my family and I never skip the cookie bar at Summer House on the Lake. Their oversized cookies are the stuff of vacation dreams. And speaking of Disney Springs, you’ll likely notice a line curling around Gideon’s Bakehouse, which is worth the wait, trust me.

In the theme parks, the treats keep coming. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I always grab a warm Num Num Cookie from the Neighborhood Bakery near Pixar Plaza. Over at Magic Kingdom Park, you can’t go wrong with the powdered sugar perfection of Tiana’s beignets at Golden Oak Outpost or a giant cinnamon roll from Gaston’s Tavern. Pro tip: ask for extra icing! And while you’re strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., the Main Street Confectionery is a must. My go-to? The salty and sweet create-your-own popcorn blend. I find it to be the perfect balance of flavor and great for my bus ride, monorail ride, or stroll home.

I hope this helps you find just the right way to celebrate your special moment, or just make an ordinary day a little more magical.

    See you real soon!
