Hi David!
Greetings and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! So happy to SEA that you are planning all elements of your cruise with Captain Mickey, down to all the fun and magical details!
Getting creative with a stateroom door is one of the true joys of a Disney Cruise Line sailing, don't ya think? From magnets to fish extenders, these decorations are fun, festive, and fabulous! But naturally, we all want to play by the rules and not bring something onboard just to have it taken down because it's not allowed. Unfortunately, "seasonal and/or celebratory light bulb strings" fall into this category and are included in the
Prohibited Items list. This does include battery-operated string lights as well.
Kudos to you for being savvy enough to know these might pose a problem. I HATE being the bearer of bad news, so let's talk about some bright and sparkly extras that ARE included on your Disney cruise.
The first thing that pops into my mind are Disney Cruise Line's one-of-a-kind fireworks at sea, followed by the bright lights of Broadway-caliber shows like
Beauty and the Beast and
Tangled: The Musical. Let's not forget the
Buena Vista Theatre that lights up with first-run movies. Nothing better than a movie theater debut seen at sea!
The flashing lights of cameras capture
character interactions courtesy of Disney Cruise Line's professional photographers. These photos allow guests to relive cruise memories to infinity...and beyond!
Finally, dance floors in the Youth Clubs and the adult exclusive
lounges and nightclubs light up in rhythm to the music and come alive in the evenings!
So I hope this has you looking forward to
all that's included and waiting for you onboard your next sailing. Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if the lightbulb goes off and you think of more questions!
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
