Hey there Jesse,
Welcome to planDisney!
I was a big fan of the
Disneyland Resort Mobile App during my last visit in December. Not only did it allow me to scan into the parks each day, but I was able to make Genie+ Lightning Lane selections, skip the line while shopping using
Merchandise Mobile Checkout, and even place
Mobile Food Orders. If you're the proud owner of a Disneyland
Magic Key you'll be able to link that to your Disneyland Resort App as well for entry into the parks.
I did experience some of the delays you mentioned on some mornings of my visit so I can understand your concern about wanting the speediest method of entry when you arrive for a day of fun. Unfortunately, the Disneyland Resort App does not currently offer
Disney MagicMobile service that's available for guests of Walt Disney World Resort. Although you won't be able to add your Magic Key pass to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet like your East Coast counterparts, I do have one other helpful suggestion for you.
MagicBand+ is now available for use at both Walt Disney World Resort and
Disneyland Resort. You'll be able to use your MagicBand+ for hands-free entry into the parks as well as Lightning Lane entries without waiting for your pass screen to load in the app. If you'd like to purchase one of these state of the art bands you'll just need to follow a few simple
set-up instructions to link your Magic Key Pass to your band. There's even an
exclusive design available to Magic Key holders which features a unique light-up sequence.
I hope this helped Jesse. Come back and
see us again with more questions. We'd be happy to help!
See you real soon,
Amy
