How to add an additional credit card to our My Disney Experience account

Hi there, Terry! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I see you are counting down the DAYS to your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. I’ve got a similar countdown going and I am so excited to see the holiday lights twinkling all around the resort, feel the magical snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., and eat all the peppermint and chocolate I can find. It’s the merriest season of all and we’ll be there so soon!

Terry, at this time, there is not a way to link a second credit card to your My Disney Experience account. You’ll be welcome to use that second credit card at any merchandise or dining location – just present it as you would anywhere you’d make a purchase. Just remember that any purchase made with your MagicBand (a privilege you’ll have if you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel) will charge to the card you’ve linked to your My Disney Experience profile. If you want more control over how you’re paying, just avoid using your MagicBand and then pay using your preferred method. I have a friend who doesn’t use credit cards, and she simply pays in cash or Disney Gift Cards when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.

If you’d like to change the card you have linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can do that in a few easy steps. In the My Disney Experience mobile app, select “My Profile” and then “Payment Method.” You’ll see the card you have currently linked, and can choose to remove that card, edit that card’s information, or add a new card - but note that adding a new card will remove the existing one, as you may only have one card linked at a time.

Have so much fun with your trip countdown, Terry. Be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog as you get ready for your visit – they’ve been sharing so many great articles about holiday experiences, treats, and other great planning tips. If you think of any more questions, please come back and see us.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
