Hiya, Michelle. Welcome back to planDisney!
Early Theme Park Entry for Guests staying at
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels is a great perk as you can start the magic earlier than other Guests. Typically, with
Magic Kingdom Park, all Guests are let into the park at the beginning of Early Theme Park Entry, but Guests not staying at a qualifying hotel can only experience Main Street, U.S.A., enjoy the ambiance, shop, or get some snacks. At this time, Guests staying at a qualifying hotel can enter Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, the two open lands during this time.
Your ability to get on and off an attraction during Early Theme Park Entry and then be back in front of
Cinderella Castle for
Let the Magic Begin will depend on a few things. While it's possible to do so, you want to take into account how far the attraction is from the hub and how "ahead of the pack" you are. For example, if there are a lot of people in front of you going toward an attraction, while the wait will likely be much shorter than the typical wait, it might not be a "walk on." Typically, most Guests are aiming for
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train,
Peter Pan's Flight, or
Space Mountain. So, if you're in the front of the crowd, these may be in the running. If you aren't, you'll want to stick to one of the other attractions that are open during this time.
While I don't always arrive at the park for "rope drop" these days, I used to be a huge rope dropper. And during my Rope-Dropping Era, I was sure to be at the gates of the park, especially Magic Kingdom Park, 30-45 minutes before the park opened. Sometimes, that was overkill. Often, I would have to tell my travel party, most notably my husband, that I wanted to be there an hour before so that they would make it there 30-45 minutes before. But it typically would put me in the front of the pack when I did this. Would this be considered lying? I mean, I'll leave that up to you. But was it a successful strategy? Absolutely. That is...until he caught on!
Michelle, enjoy your exclusive access to a land of fantasy and tomorrow...and, of course, that delightful welcome show! If you have any other questions,
let me know.
The magic is calling,
Matt
