To be at actual entrance to MK 45 min ahead of opening, how early do we need to leave CBR if we are driving ourselves? I know you have to get there, park, take tram to monorail, mono to gate - how much time should we allow? When should we leave CBR? :)

Hi, Christine!   From Caribbean Beach to Magic Kingdom, it is about a 15 minute drive time in your car.   You need to add to this about 40 minutes in transfer time with the tram/monorail (or ferry boat) from the parking lot to the front gates of Magic Kingdom.  So assuming the park opens at 9:00 a.m.,  you would need to leave your resort at about 7:20 a.m. to get you to the gates 45 minutes before the park opens.

I am a big fan of driving myself around to all the theme parks, but going to the Magic Kingdom is the one park I prefer the bus.  The bus picks you up at your resort and drops you right at the front gates of the park, allowing you to skip the tram and monorail (or ferry boat.)

With either the bus or your own car, I hope you have a great time at the Magic Kingdom!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
