Hi Kristen!
I answered a similar question about this tonight and I realize how many guests are coming to Walt Disney World at this time and looking for some inexpensive fun ways to enjoy the holiday.
Of course the most known celebration is indeed the
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom theme park. This is where you can trick or treat, capture some special photos, enjoy entertainment, and see the very famous Halloween parade and fireworks.
For guests who do not wish to fit this party into their budgets there are a few other things to entertain them. The place to go is the
Fort Wilderness Resort campsites where guests will have their sites decorated for the holiday. Some are absolutely unbelievably extensive and it is obvious how much planning and money go into some of the displays. The Halloween weekend is actually the most sought after reservation on property at that time and must be reserved a year in advance. We have been doing a display for the last 8 years or so and have become known as the NFL/Green Bay Packer decorations.
Usually the day before Halloween the resort will also host a golf cart parade where guests decorate their carts and 100 or more of them parade down the main route of the resort. You will see pirate ships and castles and so much more and it is one of the best Disney parades around. Well, at least the most unique!
Disney Springs has not had anything special planned for Halloween in the past years. Obviously Disney can change that at any time but nothing has been announced. Each resort will usually have some sort of activities planned for their guests so be sure and have them check with the resort they are staying.
Happy "Howlaween"!
