Are the activities and food on Castaway Cay covered in the cruise fare, or are there additional charges on the island?

    Ahoy Dwight –
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! One of the best things that I like about Disney Cruise Line is that so much is included in your cruise fare and that includes Castaway Cay. I do not even bother to bring money to Castaway Cay because unless I am planning to shop or consume alcoholic beverages I do not need it. My crew enjoys beach time, making sand castles and the family activities (dance party, character greetings, Scuttle’s Cove) at Castaway Cay. We usually do not purchase excursions at this port.  Now if you are planning to do an excursion, there will be an additional cost for that just like any other port. Some excursions that families choose to participate in include snorkeling, bicycling, boat rides, parasailing and fishing. The food and drinks at Cookies and Cookies Too is included with the fare. What is not included are drinks from the bar and bottled water. There are stores at Castaway Cay that have merchandise for sale if you desire to shop. Remember that your Key to the World card is also your charge card for purchases on the island. Dwight, I hope that you have happy planning for your cruise and please drop by for another visit with us soon!
