Hello, Courtney! You will be pleasantly surprised to hear about all the fun a 2-year-old can have at Walt Disney World Resort! I visited twice this year with my toddler and she loved every moment.
There are over
80 attractions at Walt Disney World Resort for a preschooler to experience, and most of these, a toddler will love, too. One of our family’s favorites is the
Disney Junior - Live on Stage! Show at Hollywood Studios. It’s a short, interactive show that lets kids stand up, dance, and sing along with their favorite Disney Junior characters. Our entire family spends most of our time visiting Magic Kingdom Park to greet princesses, ride Peter Pan’s Flight as well as my daughter’s favorite, Dumbo, the Flying Elephant.
A reservation at Magic Kingdom’s Crystal Palace means a buffet lunch that caters to even the pickiest eaters as well as characters coming to your table in rotation so you never have to wait in line for autographs or family photos. Be sure to bring your autograph book and participate in Pooh’s parade while you’re there. Snag your
reservation 180 days before your check-in day for your desired times.
Lastly, be sure to take your time. If you need a break in any Park, the Baby Care Centers offer quiet spots to relax or change a diaper. There is also an on-site store to pick up any diapering or feeding supplies you may be missing. You can always head back to your hotel for an afternoon nap, or visit the themed pools.
I love taking mini vacations with my little kids. Just like the Doorknob from Alice in Wonderland says, “a little of that (a vacation!) went a long way!” ~Lindsey
