Ghoulish Greetings, Jasmin. Welcome back to planDisney, and thanks for bringing another spooktacular question. Oogie Boogie Bash (OBB) is one of my favorite events of the year, and I'm so happy to hear that you'll be attending!

MagicBand+ can be used at the Main Entrance gate for entry if you've linked it to your special event ticket. It will also interact with events and entertainment within the park. Make sure it is fully charged to experience the full effect. While I would love to share specifics about when and where it might interact, sometimes it's just a fun, unexpected treat (like during a parade or near a ghoulish decoration)!
To see that your
Oogie Boogie Bash ticket is linked to your MagicBand+, open the
Disneyland Mobile App and click the three horizontal lines on the bottom right of the home screen. Go to the Account section and click on MagicBand+, and see that your MagicBand+ has been added. If it is not, click the blue plus sign on the top right and follow the prompts to add it. If it is added, click on it, and it will bring up all the available tickets it can be linked to. Since I handle all of my family's tickets, I can see many tickets available for linking (including our OBB tickets). Select the ticket and click "Reassign," and you should be all set! Please note that you can only assign one ticket per MagisBand+, so if you'll be using a standard admission ticket or Magic Key at any other point of your trip, you will need to follow the process above to reassign it to that ticket.
Jasmin, how fun that you will also be celebrating your birthday at OBB! Make sure to grab a complimentary "I'm Celebrating" button (subject to availability) from a Cast Member or at select merchandise retailers throughout
California Adventure Park. Also, be sure to use your event wristband to link your free
Disney PhotoPass photo downloads from the event - they are included with the cost of your event ticket! I can think of nothing more special than having a fun Halloween-themed birthday photo shoot during your visit. How memorable!
