Are all activities for children from 5 to 7 years old on a cruise included in the cost of the trip or do you have to pay for them to go the clubs? Do they limit the hours that they can go? Is a cruise more relaxing for parents than a park trip?

    Hi Teri,

This is the beauty of cruising, the childrens clubs and activities are included!  There is a fee for the use of Flounders Nursery (available for those under three only), but there is no charge for the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab (ages 3-12).

The clubs are open to all registered children (you can pre-register online) and they will serve lunch and dinner to the children if they are there at dining time.  Although they reserve the right to limit the time in the club, I don't think that happens.  The typical day has enough check-in vs check-outs to make the area safe and comfortable for everyone.  It is totally up to the children how long they stay, and at any time they can ask to leave and you will be paged to come pick them up.  I think you may find that you wish there was a limit to the hours your kids can stay, because once they are there they rarely want to leave!

Personally, I do believe that the cruise is the most relaxing vacation you can take with children.  There is always something to do, yet the quiet down-time of your cabin is always near by.  Food is at your every turn, and you stateroom host/hostess makes your bed and turns it down every day.  It is full of pampering every parent can enjoy!

    Hope this helps!
