Hi Hayley,
Welcome to planDisney!
Wow. I love that you are planning ahead! This past year, we left just before New Year's Eve and could feel the excitement building for the celebrations ahead. First, I suggest that you review the
Start Your Year at Walt Disney World Resort info and consider a
vacation package that will place you right in the middle of the magic as the new year begins. Also take a look at the
Fun for Adults at Walt Disney World Resort guide if you plan to make this an adults-only trip or to have some adults-only time while there.
Although we do not yet have details on the specific celebrations, this most recent year was different with health and safety measures in place. You can review the
Disney Parks Blog for party details in years prior. EPCOT has long been a favorite park to visit on New Year's Eve because Guests can walk around World Showcase and enjoy festivities around the world. We are all also incredibly excited to note the new nighttime spectacular progress in the Disney Parks Blog article,
The World is Coming Together As Work Continues on 'Harmonious' at EPCOT.What would New Year's Eve be without the food? Take a look back at some of the
Appetizing Occasions that brought people together to delight in extraordinary culinary experiences. My place to be would be either Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera or California Grill. Both have spectacular views from the restaurant and the cuisine is fabulous as well. If you are looking to celebrate outside of the theme parks, keep your eye on the dining and entertainment options at
Disney Springs.
Hayley, although we do not yet know what celebrations might be in store, I highly recommend that you make
advanced dining reservations when your reservation window opens. Keep in mind also that
The World's Most Magical Celebration starts this year on October 1st. By New Year's Eve, the 50th Anniversary Celebration events will be in full swing, so there could be a number of surprises in store for us all!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
