Hey there, Edna! Thank you for bringing your question to us at planDisney.
You've got it right! If your tickets are linked to your profile in your
My Disney Experience account, and your
MagicBand is showing as active, then everything is "automagically" linked together, and you will be able to
reuse your MagicBand to access your theme park admission.
Keep in mind that the long-range battery life for MagicBands is estimated to be about 2 years. (Batteries are not replaceable.) Your MagicBand should still work at any touchpoints, including entry tapstyles,
Lightning Lane entrances, points of sale when
charging purchases with your MagicBand to your Disney Resort Hotel room folio, unlocking the door of your Disney Resort Hotel room, and when linking
Disney PhotoPass photos captured with a photographer. The longer-range battery is what allows attraction photos to automatically link to your account, or other fun things like wishing you "Auf Wiedersehen" or "Au Revoir" as you exit
"it's a small world".
I have had MagicBands that worked just fine for linking my photos well past 2 years, and others that weren't working after less than a year. I recommend after experiencing an attraction that offers on-ride Disney PhotoPass photos to check your
My Disney Experience app to see if the photos have been linked. If not, you can tap your MagicBand at the photo preview area at select attractions. For attractions that do not offer a photo preview area such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Haunted Mansion, you can create a
Disney MagicMobile pass in the My Disney Experience app. A Disney MagicMobile pass will have much of the same functionality as a MagicBand.
I hope that helps! Please stop by and see us again with any additional questions you may have. Enjoy your visit!
