Hi there, Omar! Welcome to planDisney.
On behalf of my military family and my fellow Panelists, thank you for your service to our country. I'm so glad to hear that you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort - my family visited earlier this year when my husband returned from a deployment, and I know just how important magical R&R can be. It's a pleasure to assist you with your questions today.
It looks like you're planning to arrive on December 19, 2021, and unfortunately, the Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets and military discount on select Disney Resorts Collection hotels ends on December 17 of this year. I would recommend taking a look at the
Special Offers webpage to see if there are any other offers during your visit dates that might work for your family. Another option is to look at
Shades of Green, which is the resort hotel for military members located on Walt Disney World Resort property. With spacious rooms, gorgeous grounds, and a location right across from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort in the Magic Kingdom Park area, this resort is a great option with fantastic prices.
If you'd like to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, I recommend looking at Vacation Packages, which include your resort hotel room and tickets. For a family of 6, the Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort or Disney's All-Star Music Resort are good options, or check out the 1- and 2-bedroom villa accommodations, which come with full kitchen and laundry facilities. Start on the
Places to Stay webpage, enter your visit dates and information about your party, and then see which resort hotels are available for you. Once you've found the resort hotel, you can follow the prompts to add tickets, including adding the
Park Hopper Option so you can visit more than one park each day.
Theme Park Reservations are required for each day of your stay, so once you have your tickets, be sure to use the
Disney Park Pass System to reserve the first park for each day of your stay. With a Park Hopper ticket, you'll be able to "hop" to the next park (no additional reservations required) when Park Hopper Hours begin (currently at 2:00 p.m., but always check the Park Hours calendar for the most up-to-date information). You must enter the park where you have a reservation before "hopping" to your next park.
The FastPass+ system has been replaced with
Disney Genie Service. Using the My Disney Experience Mobile App, the Disney Genie recommends an itinerary for you based on the information you share about your top priorities and favorite things to do. For an additional cost, you may add Disney Genie+ to each ticket, which gives you access to Lightning Lanes. I recommend reading all about Disney Genie Service on its website and
this helpful Disney Parks Blog article, and please come back and see us if you have any questions about this new service, which is designed to make your theme park wishes come true.
Whew! I know that was a LOT of information, but I hope it helps you get started with planning your December visit. If you have more questions, please come back and see us!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
