is active duty military free? and what are the discounts for a 1 day ticket for his family?

Hello there, Monica! Welcome to planDisney. We are so happy to have you drop by to ask us your questions.

As a military family, we have enjoyed countless opportunities to enjoy the parks thanks to military offers from Disney. Active duty military does not get into the parks for free, but there is a Disney Military Promotional Ticket. These tickets are available to qualifying active duty and retired military members and are deeply discounted from the standard Park Hopper Ticket. There are specific terms and conditions for these tickets, so be sure to make sure you are eligible. These tickets and other discounted tickets for the military must be purchased from your military base ticket office. They are not for sale through Disneyland. If you are not looking for a 3-day or 4-day Park Hopper, you can also purchase standard tickets at a slight discount from the military base ticket office. Most ticket offices have a price sheet available to download on their website so you can see the prices and compare them.

Military members can also save on stays at Disneyland Resort Hotels on select rooms for certain dates. We have also been able to get a military rate at a few Good Neighbor Hotels over the years that may also be worth looking into if you are planning to stay overnight.

Monica, I hope this information is helpful. If you have any other questions regarding military tickets or other aspects of your stay, please come back and visit us again!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mama and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. We love that we are close enough to Disneyland Resort to make a last-minute trip to see the Mouse quite frequently. You'll find us in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can fit in! I love helping my friends plan memorable trips to Disneyland Resort and can't wait to help you too! Learn More About Carrie
