Hello, I am active duty Air Force and have purchased disney tickets on base. I am separating soon and wondering if I need to book the reservations for a date before my separation date or am I able to use the tickets for a date after I separate? Thank you

Hey there, hi there, Rachel! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a really great ticket question.

Before we get to your answer, please let me take a second to thank you for your service. As a military spouse, I know the commitments and sacrifices you've endured during your time in service. I'm so excited to hear you were able to get some Disney Military Promotional Tickets for an upcoming visit! Our family really loves being able to take advantage of these tickets as often as we can. To be able to use these tickets, you do need to show your military ID at the turnstile to activate these tickets for the first entry into the parks. So if you will no longer have a military ID that shows you are retired, are a 100% permanent and total service-connected disabled veteran, or active duty, I am not sure that they would allow you to activate and use these tickets. I would suggest activating the tickets before you are separated.

Right now is a great time to visit before it starts getting even warmer with summer approaching. It's also the beginning of the 70th Celebration! Be sure to plan to stay late so you can enjoy the nighttime spectaculars like Paint the Night parade or World of Color Happiness!

Rachel, thank you again for your service. We salute you!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
