Greetings, Greg! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your great question!
I love that you're gearing up for another year of magic at the
Walt Disney World Resort! Being an
Annual Passholder means having the option to enjoy every season and festival with regular trips to Walt Disney World. It means
discounts at select food and dining locations and complimentary
theme park parking. Greg, being a passholder is a great thing!
Greg, there is no need to activate a renewed annual pass. If renewing during the renewal window - currently up to 60 days before or within 30 days after pass expiration - the renewed pass will be active on the day after the expiration date of the original pass. This means that if you wait to renew until after your pass expires, it will still be backdated to a year from the expired pass' original expiration date. This is different than a purchase from a new pass, which has to be activated to set the expiration date. For more information, you may want to look at the
Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass Terms and Conditions, which provide information on everything you need to know about having an annual pass.
I hope this helps keep the magic going, Greg. Please drop by with any other questions that you may have!
Make today magical,
Melissa
