Hey there, Christina. Welcome to
planDisney. It's so fun that you've booked another
Walt Disney World vacation! I keep going back, too, since I was a young girl and I never tire of the magic. It's a great place!
Christina, your
MagicBands are connected to people, not trips. So if you didn't deactivate your MagicBand after your trip, it actually should still be all good to go. However, we can find out for sure! I think it is easiest to do this on the
MyDisneyExpereince app on your smartphone device.
- Launch the MyDiseyExperience app
- Select the three blue horizontal lines on the lower right-hand corner of the screen. This is going to open up the navigation section
- Scroll down until you see "My Profile" and select that option
- The second option down is "MagicBands & Cards", you want to click on that and you should see your MagicBands all listed out under the "Your MagicBands & Cards" category.
- Scroll through until you see the MagicBand that you'd like to take with you and next to it you should see the word "Active". If it says, "Inactive" you can select that MagicBand and reactivate it once again.
These steps are really only necessary if you manually deactivated your MagicBand after your trip last year. They don't automatically go into that mode, but it's an easy check and see anyway. You can do this for yourself and anyone else that you manage.
If you don't want to use a MagicBand on your next trip, remember that you can do almost everything via the MyDisneyExperience app now. That's what I exclusively use now and it is so convenient.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to s
top back by and ask. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
Jackie H.
