To activate the current Canadian promo tickets what form of identification is required? Are Canadian drivers license acceptable? Or are passports required? Would a photograph of our passports on a phone be okay?

    Hi Susan,

Welcome back to planDisney – it’s lovely to see you again!

I was so happy to see that the Special Offer where Canadians can save up to 20% on their Theme Park Tickets. From what I understand, the activation process for these tickets is similar to what would take place for past promotions. All you’ll need to do is visit a Ticket Window or Guest Relations prior to entering your first Theme Park and then you can show them either a Canadian Passport or a Canadian driver’s license to activate your tickets. I don’t typically carry my passport with me, but Cast Members have been more than happy to accept a picture as proof of Canadian residence, provided the picture is nice and clear.

Tip: If you’ll be arriving in Central Florida at least a day before your visit Theme Park, I highly recommend that you activate your tickets at the Disney Springs Welcome Center before that first visit. That way you won’t encounter any delays when you start your Disney Day!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
