Hi Christine!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for asking this great Disney Parks question to us hEAR. Aside from my family, there are a few things I super love in life: shopping, a good mystery, and Disney. Luckily the search for this famous spud buddy combines all three!
Up until a few years ago, there was a popular souvinEAR spot in
Disney Springs where for a flat rate, guests could fill a box with various Disneyfied Mr. Potato parts and accessories, everything from character costume parts like Tinker Bell wings to a Disney Parks popcorn box or a Mickey balloon. My husband and I started visiting Walt Disney World Resort annually in 2011 and our heart was set that we'd fill one of these boxes on our child's first visit and add pieces each trip after. Sadly the experience closed before our
Mouseketeer's first trip to Mickey's House. But the good news is that there are plenty of Disney kids out there who just like Andy from Toy Story have grown up and are starting to pass these pieces on so other children can make #DisneyMagic during their own playtime adventures. I constantly see these exclusive pieces up for grabs on websites like eBay or in unofficial fan-created Disney marketplace groups on facebook, usually in huge sets.
Definitely check ShopDisney every now and then for more hot toys as you never know what they'll release. There were a lot of Toy Story items introduced last year when Toy Story 4 hit the theaters, and it looks like there might be a
Potato Buzz and Woody set still available right now. And the next time you visit Walt Disney World Resort, you'll be able to find this famous tuber and other members from the Roundup Gang in shops all over the parks, but you certainly don't want to miss all of the playtime fun in Andy's Backyard in
Toy Story Land in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
I hope this helped to spread some Disney Magic at home, Christine, and if you have any more Disney Parks or Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
