Hi Rebecca, welcome to planDisney!
Planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is a work of heart. I promise that all of the magical work you're doing now (purchasing tickets, linking tickets, making theme park reservations, connecting with Family and Friends, etc.) will pay off the moment you walk down Main Street, U.S.A., and lay eyes on Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park. A similar moment still takes place for me when entering all four theme parks.
Thank you for explaining your situation so clearly. I understand your husband has a My Disney Experience account profile that is currently managed under your account. I fully support your husband's desire to create his own My Disney Experience account. During your park days, this will allow him to download his
Disney MagicMobile pass, place
Mobile Food and Beverage Orders, purchase
Disney Genie+ service, book Lightning Lane attractions, view
Disney PhotoPass images, etc. from his
My Disney Experience mobile app. Assuming you've already linked some vacation entitlements to your husband's profile under your account, it's important to follow these steps to merge that profile with his newly created account:
1. Have your husband create a
My Disney Experience account.
2. On your
Family and Friends list, click "Update" next to your husband's name.
3. Click "Share Planning with <<husband's name>>
4. Enter the email address associated with your husband's newly created My Disney Experience account and click "Continue."
5. Have your husband accept the email invitation to connect. Once accepted, all of the vacation entitlements housed under your account will automagically transfer to his new account. You will remain connected as Family and Friends, which lets you view and make plans for each other.
6. Have a magical vacation!
Don't be a stranger now, Rebecca. PlanDisney is happy to answer all of your trip-planning questions. Hope to see ya real soon!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
