Hiya Melissa, Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your excellent question. I'm thrilled to assist you! How exciting that you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort! You are sure to make awesome memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

I am so excited about the new Lightning Lane Passes! Melissa, as you know, Lightning Lane Multi Pass has replaced Disney Genie+ service, and Lightning Lane Single Pass has replaced individual “à la carte” Lightning Lane entry. This new system allows you to purchase Lightning Lane passes and make your selections well in advance of your arrival, giving you more time to plan and enjoy your visit!

Guests of Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels can purchase passes up to 7 days in advance of their stay. If the other members in your party, who are arriving two days after you, are on your reservation but are simply arriving later, then you will be able to purchase their passes. If they have their own separate reservation, they will be able to purchase their passes 7 days in advance of their check in date.
