Hi there, Marcus,
Aw! That sounds like a magical
birthday experience to share with your granddaughter. I bet you are looking forward to all the oohs, ahhs, and smiles during your visit.
The Disneyland Resort offers many different
accommodations for Guests with disabilities. In your case, you might
request an interview with a Cast Member to discuss whether the
Disability Access Service (DAS) is a good fit for you. If your specific disability can be accommodated with a mobility aid, Cast Members will usually offer information about the Disneyland Resort’s procedures for
Guests with a mobility disability. For example, Guests are welcome to use wheelchairs, Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs), canes, walkers, or other aids that may be useful for making getting around the parks more comfortable. Most attractions provide accommodations for Guests with mobility disabilities, which may include an alternate attraction entrance, extra time to board a ride vehicle, or even special ride vehicles that can be boarded with a wheelchair.
For your convenience,
wheelchairs and ECVs are also available for rent at the shop just outside the main entrance to Disneyland Park. Those rentals are for day use in the parks only. For Guests staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel who would like the convenience of taking their rental back and forth to their room, the Disney Featured Provider is ScooterBug.
I hope that you and your granddaughter have a most marvelous time making magical memories at the Disneyland Resort, Marcus. If you think of any more questions for us here at planDisney, I hope you’ll stop by for a visit again soon.
