Hello, Lisa, and welcome to planDisney!
As a mom of an adult autistic young man, who grew up vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort, I feel that I can offer some insight for you to think about for your planning, to make your stay the best possible, Lisa.
I discovered that booking a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation package to include theme park tickets was the best option for us because all my plans were in one place, and I could best manage them using
My Disney Experience.
Disney Resort hotels, that offer space for 5 Guests or more were always beneficial to us because they were more spacious, and many offered some amenities like home. My son, who loves anything Disney-Pixar was completely awestruck by the
larger than life theming of
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and those
Family Suites were so spacious and convenient! Many Guest Rooms offer accessible accommodations.
Another area that we love mainly because of the proximity to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios was the
BoardWalk Area Resort hotels, such as Disney’s Beach Club Villas, and Disney’s BoardWalk Villas - these offer home-like amenities such as full kitchens, common areas, in-room laundry and much more! You may wish to look at similar amenities and proximity to Magic Kingdom Park at the
Monorail Resort hotel area such as Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and The Villas Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Lisa, please refer to our
services for Guests with Disabilities and pay particular attention to
Disney’s Disability Access Service, an accommodation for Guests who are unable to tolerate lengthy waits at attraction queues. Please take note of how registration can take place for this in advance of your arrival with
DAS Advance or during your visit in-person at any Guest Relations inside any of the four theme parks.
It was my pleasure assisting you today, and I have a lot more to share with you, Lisa, to make your Disney vacation the
best ever!Best Disney Wishes ~ Jacqueline
